I'm so happy that OUR HOUSE has been selected as a Publishers Weekly Summer Read for 2018 (Mystery/Thriller) - thank you, PW!
When OUR HOUSE publishes in the US on 7 August, it will be my first title to hit the shelves Stateside, so the countdown to publication is extra special to me. I'm so excited to see the first print review - and in no less than consumer giant Good Housekeeping! The reviewer promises 'The last line will make you literally shout with shock.'
Thank you, Good Housekeeping! x UK readers: I have no idea how long the madness will last, but the OUR HOUSE ebook is currently just 99p! You can secure this lunatic bargain on amazon, itunes, kobo and (I think) all other etailers.
(Oh, and a note to those who made the book a bestseller at the higher price - rest assured, you will always have a special place in my heart.) Excitingly, OUR HOUSE has been picked by Publishers Weekly as one of their Summer Reads 2018 - alongside such luminaries as Bill Clinton! (Candlish and Clinton - who would've thought...)
The audiobook of OUR HOUSE has special significance, given that part of the story is told in the form of a transcript of an interview Fi Lawson gives for a crime podcast. So in that respect, audio is the most natural medium for this novel. I loved the short excerpt actor Deni Francis recorded for Simon & Schuster's The Words podcast and promptly recommended her to my long-time audio publisher WF Howes for the full Fi part (joined-up thinking, my friends, joined-up thinking). Bad boy Bram is played by Paul Panting: great name, great voice and - I like to think! - a great role.
