Hello and welcome!
In case you don't know me, I'm an award-winning Sunday Times bestselling author based in South London. I was born in the Northeast and grew up in the Midlands town of Northampton, before moving to the capital to study English at UCL. Many moons later, I find myself the author of 16 novels, including my brand-new thriller The Only Suspect, set in present-day and 1995 London and described by the Daily Mail as 'a perfect mix of nostalgia and menace'. You may know my #1 bestseller Our House, which won the British Book Awards 2019 Crime & Thriller Book of the Year and is now a smash-hit 4-part ITV drama starring Martin Compston, Tuppence Middleton and Rupert Penry-Jones (view the full series on ITVX). Several of my other of my books, including The Only Suspect, have also been optioned for the screen and I'll share news on those projects as soon as I can. I live in Herne Hill, South London, with my husband, daughter (when she's not at uni), and a fox-red Labrador called Bertie who is the apple of my eye. Books, TV and long walks are my passions - oh, and drinking wine in the sun with family and friends. My favourite authors include Tom Wolfe, Patricia Highsmith, Barbara Vine and Agatha Christie. |
